Dear Be Perfect Foundation Donors and Supporters,

What an incredible evening we shared with over 1000 attendees at the Be Perfect Foundation 10th Annual Scholarship Gala! For those who were with us and for our cherished supporters who couldn't make it, we want to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey we embarked upon together that night. It was an event filled with inspiring stories, heartfelt moments, and a unified commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

With your support, we were able to raise nearly $600,000 for the paralysis community. Another unforgettable evening that will go down in the record books.

Let’s recap the event for all of you, whether you were there and want to reminisce, or whether you were unable to attend and you are experiencing a bit of “FOMO,” but would love to experience the event as if you were there.

A Sparkling Start

Our evening commenced at 4 PM with a lively cocktail hour, providing an opportunity for guests to mingle, check in, and partake in our silent auction. The atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation and the spirit of camaraderie among all present.

Dining and Pre-Program Elegance

As the program unfolded, Big Hal took the stage for some housekeeping, seamlessly transitioning to a video that eloquently narrated what the Be Perfect Foundation tirelessly works towards in serving the paralysis community. This was followed by the introduction of Aaron McRae, who gave the invocation for the evening, setting a reflective and hopeful tone.

Legacy and Laughter

Midway through dinner, Big Hal spoke about some of the great community partnerships that are shared with The Perfect Step, Paralysis Recovery Center. He then led into a video that highlighted the most recent expansion endeavors of The Perfect Step in a video that gives you a throwback vibe to “MTV cribs.” After this, the entire Hargrave family shared a legacy moment with us. It was a touching reminder of how a grassroots family endeavor has blossomed into a community that spans the nation, dedicated to empowering those with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions.

A Night of Inspirational Stories

The heart of the evening was undoubtedly the sequence of awe-inspiring stories from our community. The stage was graced by Miguel Rivera, introduced through a compelling video, who then took on the role of our host with grace and eloquence. Miguel's introduction set the tone for a night of profound narratives and celebrations of resilience.

Little Hal followed, delivering a powerful keynote speech that moved every heart in the room. His message was amplified by the stirring chords of the "Dare You to Move" video, leaving us all inspired to take action and make a difference.

Honoring Our Heroes

The gala was also a platform to honor some of the extraordinary individuals in our community. Ashley Hutton's story of triumph as a mom, an advocate, and a community hero was shared.

Ashley’s story was followed by the presentation of the prestigious Dave Stoecklein Award to this year's deserving recipient, Taylor Lindsay Noel. Taylor's presence on stage and her impactful video left us all in awe of her dedication and spirit.

Empowering Voices

Jose Perales' journey was another highlight, with his video bringing to light the challenges and victories experienced by those we serve. Taylor Lindsay Noel returned to the stage with a compelling call to action, reminding us all of the power of community and the difference each contribution makes.

A Culminating Tribute

The evening's program concluded with "The Comeback" video, a poignant reminder of the resilience and determination of our clients. It was a fitting end to a program that celebrated the incredible journeys of a comeback after injury or diagnosis.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each one of you for your unwavering support, whether through your presence, your contributions, or your spirit. It is your generosity and belief in our cause that empowers us to continue our work, transforming lives one step at a time.

As we close this chapter and look forward to the next, we are reminded of the strength and resilience of our community. Together, we are making a difference, and together, we will continue to strive for a world where every individual has the opportunity to live their fullest life.

Thank you for being a part of this unforgettable evening and for your continued support of the Be Perfect Foundation. We are already excited about what the future holds and look forward to sharing many more moments of triumph and celebration with you.

We look forward to seeing you in 2026 at our 11th Annual Scholarship Gala. The date is to be announced in the future.

With deepest appreciation,
